In the first phase, it is planned to attract hundreds of million dollars from Russian investors, and then the company will offer foreign investors to invest into real estate, the source said. Segments for investments are different: retail, office, warehouse and residential real estate. According to him, it has not yet been decided whether only the Moscow region or other Russian cities as well will be considered.

Gordeev has already found two top managers for the company well known in the market: one of the founders of MLP (developer of warehouses) and PGP (developer of commercial real estate) Michael Pascalis and former chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle in Russia and CIS Michael Lange will take the positions of partners in “Platforma”. Both of them confirmed the information. Pascalis clarified that he would not bring his own projects to the funds of “Platforma” (his PGP implements projects of shopping centers not far from Zelenograd and Odintsovo).

“Now the company acts very actively – it actually considers opportunities in all segments of the real estate market, but the main focus is on development projects in commercial real estate, both in Moscow and in the regions”, – claimed the managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle Charles Boudet. His company works with “Platforma” in the field of search for investment projects, says Boudet. He did not talk about specific projects. Earlier, sources of “Vedomosti” told that Gordeev’s structures already purchased a land plot in Salaryevo (it is possible to build a shopping center with the area of 100 000-150 000 sq. m. there) and are actively negotiating the purchase of shopping center River Mall (258 000 sq. m.) located in the territory of former ZiL. They also said that he created a company Praktika Development. A source from “Platforma” says that Praktika Development is a part of the company.

It is quite difficult nowadays to attract investors (especially foreign) to the funds, says Stanislav Bibik, head of capital markets at Colliers International. To do this, according to him, a fund must show that it already had successful experience in implementing projects at all stages: from the output and facility management until its sale. Gordeev has such experience: he established the company Horus Capital, which was very successfully sold to a strategic investor (the company O1 Properties was founded on the basis of Horus projects), reminds Bibik.
